The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) joined Ghanaians to plant 20 million trees as part of the Green Ghana Project. The project which is on the theme, “mobilizing for a greener future ” witnesses Ministries, Departments, MDAS including the Presidency and Foreign Missions in the country participate in the exercise
At the DVLA Head office in Accra, the Deputy Chief Executive in charge of Operations and Director, Driver Training, Testing and Licensing, Messers Prince Opoku Edusei and Prosper Kafui Semevo led staff to plant the trees.
In a brief remark, Mr. Edusei said, climate change is affecting everybody globally it is important that all; participate in this project by planting more trees to ensure that the environment is protected for the future generation.
On his part, Mr. Semevo highlighted the need for the tree planting exercise and encouraged staff and the public to plant trees around their offices, homes and communities because when the last tree dies, "the last man dies",
