DVLA TEAM VISITS KATANKA GROUP OF COMPANIES

A management team from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), led by the Chief Executive, Mr Noble John Appiah, has paid a working visit to the KANTANKA Group of Companies to familiarise itself with the operations of the Group.

The team was taken round the assembly plant where the KATANKA Group assembles vehicles ranging from saloon cars to Four-wheelers.

In his remarks after the tour of the plant, Noble John Appiah praised the KANTANKA Group for the initiative it has taken to assemble vehicles in the country and urged them to strive to improve upon what they are doing.

“This is a good start and I am really impressed. If there is anything DVLA will be required to do in support, we will be willing to do so???, he stressed.

Mr Kwadwo Sarfo Jnr, CEO of the Automobile Company, said in order to ensure that the vehicle produced can stand the test of time they have set three of the vehicles aside for their own use so that any problem identified could help them improve upon what they produce subsequently. This, he said, will help protect the brands.

The Group Chairman of the Company, Apostle Kwadwo Sarfo, narrated how the idea of vehicle manufacturing modestly started in 1992 and appealed to Ghanaians to feed the company back with comments, after using the vehicles, so they can improve upon what they are doing.
