DVLA CE Honoured With Two Prestigious Awards



The Chief Executive of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Mr. Julius Neequaye Kotey, has been honoured with two prestigious awards, at the 7th National Technology & Communications Awards (NTCA) 2025 while the Authority also picked up two institutional awards.

The event organised by RAD Communications, was held at the Accra Marriott Hotel on the theme: “AI-Powered Future: Innovation, Transformation & Impact in Ghana’s Digital Economy.”

Mr. Kotey received the awards for Communication-Oriented CEO of the Year and Tech-Driven Public Sector Business Leader of the Year, in recognition of his visionary leadership and commitment to digital transformation within the public sector.

DVLA’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Stephen Attuh, was also recognised as Public Sector Corporate Affairs Leader of the Year, while the Authority was named Exceptional Public Sector Organization of the Year (Technology & Innovation).

These honours reflect the Authority’s consistent drive to leverage technology to enhance service delivery, improve operational efficiency and champion innovation in public service.

The latest recognition brings to twelve (12) the total number of awards received by DVLA within the past nine months, underscoring its leadership in innovation and customer-centric reforms.

The Director of Corporate Affairs, Mr. Stephen Attuh, noted that the recognition serves as motivation for the Authority to pursue further innovation and maintain high service standards he also expressed appreciation to the Chief Executive and Members of the Corporate Affairs unit for their support which encourages him to work effectively to promote a positive image for the Authority.

The NTCA Awards, formerly known as the National Communications Awards, were instituted to celebrate excellence and innovation among individuals and organisations contributing to Africa’s digital transformation.

The 2025 edition brought together over 300 leaders from government, business, academia and civil society — all committed to shaping Ghana’s digital and technology future.

The Authority’s multiple wins reaffirm its status as a trailblazer in smart public service delivery, demonstrating how innovation and technology can drive efficiency and transparency in governance.
