DVLA CHIEF EXECUTIVE PLEDGES A BETTER WORK ENVIRONMENT FOR STAFF

The Chief Executive of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Mr. Julius Neequaye Kotey, has reaffirmed his commitment to creating a conducive and motivating work environment for staff. Speaking during engagement with staff at the DVLA Head office, Weija and the Tema offices yesterday.

 Mr. Kotey reiterated his commitment to staff welfare, highlighting plans to address key issues including promotions, healthcare and other incentives to enhance productivity.

The interactive session provided an opportunity for the staff to share their concerns, suggestions and ideas for improving DVLA’s operations. Emphasizing on the value of teamwork, Mr. Kotey said it bring about synergy, productivity and healthy environment and encouraged the staff to continue striving for excellence adding that he appreciates their hard work and dedication to delivering quality services to the public.

He called on them to work collaboratively, always prioritizing customer satisfaction as a way of maintaining a positive public image of the Authority.

The Chief Executive stressed on the importance of eliminating the influence of middlemen, commonly known as “goro boys,” by ensuring efficient and transparent service delivery. “By doing so, i believe DVLA can strengthen its reputation and make a lasting impact in the eyes of the public”, he said.

He warned that he will not countenance on any staff who engages in acts that seek to mar the reputation of the Authority.  The Chief Executive said the Authority is poised for Governments initiative on 24 hour economy.

The Deputy Chief Executive, Foster Akwasi Asante Esq., shared his vision for the institution, outlining plans to review, reset and restore DVLA.

He encouraged the staff to contribute constructive ideas to build a better and more efficient Authority.

The engagements he said, sought to boost staff morale and reinforce DVLA’s commitment to excellence in public service.

 Mr. Asante was grateful to the staff for the warm reception saying he was overwhelmed with the warm reception he received on the assumption of office.
