The
Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) joined Ghanaians in celebrating Ghana Month with a vibrant showcase
of Ghanaian culture, unity and service. The month-long celebration, held
across DVLA offices nationwide, was marked by a blend of traditional attire,
local music and cultural displays that reflected the rich heritage of Ghana.
At
the Head Office, staff dressed in colorful traditional wear representing
various regions of Ghana, creating a festive atmosphere that honored the
country’s diversity. The Chief Executive, Mr. Julius Neequaye Kotey, emphasized
the importance of celebrating national identity while maintaining excellence in
public service delivery. “This
celebration reminds us of who we are and why we serve. As we promote our
culture, we also reaffirm our commitment to efficient, people-centered
service,” he stated.
As
part of the celebrations, DVLA promoted Ghanaian traditional meals at mini
exhibitions at the head office as well as the Regional and District offices.
The event underscored DVLA’s dedication not only to regulatory excellence but
