outreach underscores his belief in drawing from institutional memory to shape a
progressive future. “I believe in the power of learning from those who have
walked this path before us,” he said, adding that the experiences of past
leaders are essential in guiding the Authority’s next chapter.
The
meetings, held ahead of the Authority’s first board session under his
chairmanship, emphasized the importance of continuity, unity and shared purpose
as key drivers of reform. The consultations covered critical issues such as, Improving
service delivery to enhance public satisfaction, strengthening regulatory
frameworks to boost road safety, integrating modern technology into DVLA
operations and aligning the Authority’s work with Ghana’s broader development agenda.
Mr.
Quaye, who brings a strong background in technology and innovation, is
committed to transforming DVLA in line with the President’s national agenda for
institutional reform and digital advancement. His leadership philosophy blends
fresh ideas with tested experience, fostering a culture of inclusion and
collaboration.
“The
insights shared by Brigadier General Quartey and Lawyer Davies will be
instrumental as we embark on this journey of transformation in resetting
Ghana,” Mr. Quaye noted. He emphasized that his vision for the Authority
includes a stronger partnership with stakeholders across the public and private
sectors.
Beyond
internal operations, the new Chairman aims to position DVLA as a vital
contributor to national development. “We are not just managing licences and
vehicle registrations; we are contributing to the safety, efficiency and
prosperity of our beloved nation,” he affirmed.
As
Ghana aspires to lead in innovation and public sector excellence within the
sub-region, Mr. Quaye’s leadership promises a DVLA that is not only efficient
and technologically advanced but also reflective of the values of service,
respect and national pride.
