Mr. Julius Neequaye Kotey, Chief Executive Officer of
the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), has been named one of
Ghana's 20 Most Influential Corporate Leaders at the 2025 Ghana Corporate
Executives Awards in Accra. He received the award for his strong leadership in
promoting digital changes, transparency and improvements at DVLA, achieved
through major modernization programmes and engaging with stakeholders.
According to Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana (EFG),
Mr. Kotey was selected for the award due to his efforts in modernizing DVLA
through digitization. He boosted operational efficiency by rolling out DP
stickers, clearing over 440,000 backlogged driver’s licenses and starting
National community outreach programs and lorry terminal projects to make
services more accessible across the country. His contributions to public-sector
innovation and service delivery played a big role in his spot among the top 20.
In a Facebook post, Mr. Kotey thanked EFG and
dedicated the award to DVLA staff. He highlighted that the institution's
advancement comes from teamwork, commitment, and a shared goal of improving
public service.
The Ghana Corporate Executives Awards, held yearly by
the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana (EFG), recognize top-performing CEOs and
executives who have exhibited long-term influence, innovation, and ethical
leadership in both the public and private sectors.
The event also celebrated the 10th anniversary of the
Ghana Corporate Executives Awards, reinforcing its importance as a key platform
for recognizing excellence and leadership in Ghana’s business community.
