DVLA Chief Executive Officer Julius Neequaye Kotey Named Among Ghana’s Most Influential Corporate Leaders

Mr. Julius Neequaye Kotey, Chief Executive Officer of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), has been named one of Ghana's 20 Most Influential Corporate Leaders at the 2025 Ghana Corporate Executives Awards in Accra. He received the award for his strong leadership in promoting digital changes, transparency and improvements at DVLA, achieved through major modernization programmes and engaging with stakeholders.

According to Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana (EFG), Mr. Kotey was selected for the award due to his efforts in modernizing DVLA through digitization. He boosted operational efficiency by rolling out DP stickers, clearing over 440,000 backlogged driver’s licenses and starting National community outreach programs and lorry terminal projects to make services more accessible across the country. His contributions to public-sector innovation and service delivery played a big role in his spot among the top 20.

In a Facebook post, Mr. Kotey thanked EFG and dedicated the award to DVLA staff. He highlighted that the institution's advancement comes from teamwork, commitment, and a shared goal of improving public service.

The Ghana Corporate Executives Awards, held yearly by the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana (EFG), recognize top-performing CEOs and executives who have exhibited long-term influence, innovation, and ethical leadership in both the public and private sectors.
